|

Hi,
for "Biterror Rate" vs. "Signal Noise Ratio" plots which are often used in telecommunications it would be nice to use the Linear X - Probability Y plotting capability of DPlot.
BER is typical in a range of 1e-15 to 1.
It is good that DPlot already supports now a range for y axis with y<1. But
it still clips for y values less than 1e-5.
It would be goold if it would be possible to configure the lower clipping value.
Best regards

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll look into this, but it probably isn't going to be as straightforward as it might sound. There is no closed form solution for probability scales; DPlot uses an approximating 9th order polynomial that is accurate to +/- 1.E-7... which isn't nearly good enough for the small numbers you're talking about. I'll see what I can dig up. _________________ Visualize Your Data

To get a support in DPlot would be great. The approximation we use in Excel macros works with log functions. But unfortunatly our Excel diagrams which we generate with VBA are very unflexible.
DPlot would than be the only graph software tool I would know of which would support such plots. |
