as i need to identify each trace on a multiple plot graph, is there a way to move the curve labels to any given location to keep the text off the axis numbers
the same goes for note locations |

Curve labels (those entered in the "Curve label" box on the Legend/Labels dialog) are fixed in place and cannot be moved. As an alternative you might want to use point labels (Text>Label Points), which can be placed anywhere.
You can click and drag the legend or text notations (Text>Add/Edit Note) anywhere you like. _________________ Visualize Your Data

PS: Another user pointed out that clicking-and-dragging won't work with button-activated notes (which is true). To move a button-activated note you can either:
1) Right-click on the button, select "Button activated" to deselect that option, drag the note wherever you want, right-click again and select "Button activated", or
2) Right click on the button and select Edit, then enter the X and Y coordinates of the note. Those coordinates can be expressed as data space or plot space (0,0=upper left corner, 1,1=lower right corner). _________________ Visualize Your Data
