Let's just say that I did something dumb - I dragged a point label off the edge of the plot area. Plot extents were/are in automatic mode.
Seems as though once you drag a label off the edge, you can't get it to display again. The labels are still listed, but nothing I did would make them reappear in their default or moved locations. Tried editing the text, clicking option boxes, adjusting plot extents, etc.
You do recognize the value of "dumb moves" with software debugging I hope! 2.1.0.5 is the version in XPsp2. |

I haven't been able to find a situation where I can't get the label back on the graph by setting the extents, and I tried linear, log, and probability scales.
But that ignores the bigger question, anyway... there should be a menu command or dialog box option to force all labels on the graph. Probably better: Set the offsets of all labels that are off the graph (but whose referenced point is visible) to 0. _________________ Visualize Your Data

Well, last week when I did this by accident, nothing I tried would redisplay the labels. But just now, after adjusting the extents, the labels were redisplayed. I know I did this last week and it didn't work.
So, false alarm, but yes, I do like your suggest of bringing the labels back with an option. However, if you do a button that brings all of them back, you're going to upset someone who just wanted to bring 1 misplaced label out of 100 carefully placed labels back. So be careful! |
