I'm working with an application which exports data to an Excel template and automatically calls a macro to carry out any processing. I have built macros into the template to select data ranges and generate a series of plots using DPlot as an Add in. Although, this works fine, I need to be able to allow the user to manually select other ranges and generate other plots BUT addins do not show on the menu structure, including DPlot. Is this a property of calling Excel (OCX) from another application which can be modified?
If I close and save the sheet generated from the template, I can access the DPlot add in and manually carry out the plots.
Any help here would be gratefully received..

Dai,
Unfortunately I have no experience at all with OCX's, but my guess is that either 1) it cannot be done or 2) it is a user account issue. If you're running the OCX and try to save a file as a "Microsoft Excel Add-In (*.xla)" file, Excel will generally set the default folder to the proper folder for storing Add-Ins under the currently active user account. If you try this and it is NOT c:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
Data\Microsoft\Addins... what is it? _________________ Visualize Your Data
