win10 allowing *.grf to be registered extension.

Post by jreitmey »

I am having problems with my new win10 install. It hasn't allowed the association of DPLOT to the *.grf extension.

I've tried to right click and assign. It opens and knows that I've used Dplot in the past. It asks if I'd like to use Dplot for *.grf, but I can assign it FOREVER to always know to use DPLOT to open a *.grf file.

My IT guy said that the extension isn't registered with microsoft.
I don't know if that is the end of it or perhaps someone knows of a work around.

Several Windows 10 users have this problem, but that's the first time I've heard something like a clue. I've never heard of registering extensions, but will look into it. Thanks for your post.

and the nuget
"If there isn’t an option, you can either go and download a compatible application from the web yourself or choose the Look for an app in the store icon, which will take you to the Microsoft Store. In the window that appears, relevant applications that can open the file type in question will be presented to you."
