Mixing dplot and dplotjr in a multi-user dplotlib scenario

Post by bhyland »

Hi there,

First of all, thank you very much for your work on dPlot and dplotlib.

I had a client that used dplot quite a bit, so I incorporated it into a .net application I wrote for them to do some graphing and create grf files on the fly as part of their data analysis and reporting.

This application works great thanks to the dplotlib examples you provide. It is used both on the instrument computer where it calls dplotjr, and on the tech's computers where it calls their full version of dplot.

That is until recently - one of the techs installed the full dplot on their account on the multi-user instrument computer, and now for every other user on that computer the application ignores dplotjr, and instead calls dplot and halts asking for the license.

Is there any way I can get around this, short of uninstalling dplot? Can I tell dplotlib to prefer dplotjr, or do a single-user install of dplot?

Thanks again,
Brendan
