Dear David,
Is it possible to add a video control option for the playback function.
For example Rewind, Previous and Next Frame.
Thank you.

I don't see why not. Single stepping frames will go in there for sure. Backing up is a bit of a problem with some video formats, though. Some (maybe all?) MPEG files save storage by... I'll get the terminology wrong but the gist of it is correct... saving changes from the previous frame. So to rewind the player has to start from the beginning and work up to the previous frame. You can see how sluggish rewinding large MPEG files is in the preview window. Come to think of it DPlot will have the exact same problem with "rewinding" your plots But if you have the patience for it I don't know why it shouldn't go in there. _________________ Visualize Your Data

Dear David,
Thank you for your reply.
Do you considering the "single step frame" function for To-Do list?
I'm working on project that require to make motion picture simultaneous with the data. That approach of the data assessment is significant for numerous fields of scientific research. I believe that DPlot is very competitive software and extended playback function could reinforce its position on the market.
Best regards,

Yes, something like this will definitely go into the next release. The only difficulty will be in avoiding confusion if there's not a movie attached - in that case what does "one frame" mean? (I don't expect an answer, I'm just thinking out loud.)
Glad to hear you find this useful. My only experience with it is in blowing things up, where it is definitely a nice tool. Out of interest, what do you see using this for? _________________ Visualize Your Data

I see it exceptionally potent in physiology, biophysics, biomechanics and also possibly as educational tool. I’m using DPlot and playback function in the study of animal locomotion.
