If when starting DPlot (or any other software) you get the following error message:
"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000007b). Click on
OK to terminate the application."
and you're running a Dell system with Symantec Endpoint Protection installed, please see this page:

The problem of course isn't limited to DPlot (and has nothing to do with DPlot), but may show up there and has been reported by 1 user. _________________ Visualize Your Data

Update:
The following was received by Symantec Technical Support and should solve whatever problem Symantec Endpoint Protection has with allowing DPlot to launch:
If you are unable to run the DPlot application please follow the below steps.
Step 1: Navigate to control panel.
Step 2: Select symantec endpoint protection.
Step 3: Click change and Modify.
Step 4: Under proactive threat protection, disable Application and device control.
Step 5: Complete the wizard and reboot the machine.
This will allow you to disable the Application and device control feature.
Note: The above steps are applicable for unmanaged client. _________________ Visualize Your Data
