We recieved a new .csv. When plotting XYYY the following error occurs. "DDEML error in DPlot_Plot8, code=0X4001". After hitting OK, Dplot appears to open the plots sucessfully until closing the file. Afterward, it opens Dplot again with no graphs. I'm not sure if it is Dplot error or is being caused by the format of the new .csv file.

Please send me the file when you get a chance. I assume you're using Excel to send the data to DPlot? If not, please let me know exactly what you're doing.

David, unfortunately because of the sensitivity of the data I cannot provide the file. I believe that the problem exists because of the format of the data. If I don't select certain fields the error is not set. I'm trying to figure out what the data format is prior to decompression. Possible decompression error?

Thanks

I'm confused. You start out talking about a .CSV file, which is just ASCII text, then end with this possibly being a decompression problem. The only compression/decompression supported by DPlot is for compressed DPlot files.

If you meant that there might be a problem with unzipping a .CSV file before opening in DPlot that should be easy to figure out: open it in Notepad instead.

My guess from your posts, but it is only a guess, is that you're opening and reading some sort of compressed .CSV file in your own program, then sending that data to DPlot. Right so far? The 0x4001 error indicates that DPlot is busy (which almost always means a MessageBox or other dialog box is open), but you should have received a more meaningful error message in that case.

If you can tell me exactly what steps you're taking I'm guessing we can figure this out.

If you've figured this out, Great! If not, what's going on? Send me a file.
