Interesting. As far as I can recall I've experienced this behavior before on another machine as well, and I'm not sure I've ever seen the design behavior you describe (not that this happens all that frequently). The temp directory exists, and there's plenty of space. I see some files in TEMP that ha...

Insufficient Memory Behavior

I tend to run a lot of huge data sets; plots with more than 20-30 million points are not unusual, which is one of the reasons I like DPlot in the first place, because it handles these sizes well. However, I do have one annoyance that I run into periodically when I'm really pushing the limits... It o...

That actually helps a little, I could probably live with grey axes for this application, which makes the arrow show up on black. But it probably would be a nice feature; everynow and then it would be good to be able to annotate things with flaming red arrows.....

Label Points Arrow Color

Is there any way to change the color of the arrows for a point label? I'm trying to point out a feature in the middle of a field that's predominantly black, and I'm afraid the black arrows don't quite serve that purpose very well.... If it's on a menu somewhere my eyes must be skipping over it.... T...

Is this feature restricted to only curves that have regular intervals? With the latest release I seem to only get the pop-up to choose the method if the data is regular. I differentiated a sample generated curve and got the popup, but after I remove a couple points from the curve I no longer get any...

No problem. I was just amused when I read this because it sounded so familiar. Looking up the original thread, I did say myself that there was no hurry.... And apparently no one else missed the feature much 'til now. Anyway, I'm certainly not going to complain about where it ended up on the priority...

Thanks - I've discovered that on one of my laptops the geometry of the mouse buttons is such that I accidently poke the middle button an unacceptably high number of times, given that I have to go back and hide several curves manually every time I do it right now. It's good negative feedback for my t...

Undo for Middle Button "Unhide All"

As far as I can tell, if you use the new mouse middle button unhide all feature (middle button press when not on a curve), you can't use Edit->Undo to return to the previous state. The correct last step is listed on the edit menu (it knows you did an unhide), but the previous visibility states aren'...

Generate without Equal Intervals

David - Due to the nature of our data collection / telemetry systems, I'm frequently working with discontinuous or irregularly sampled data. I also use your "generate" functions extensively to explore / manipulate data. A feature that would interest me greatly would be the ability to use t...

Switch Independent Variable Performance

David - I've got a time-series plot with around 4 million points per curve (3 curves) that I was trying to do a switch independent variable on, and it's been running for quite a while (over an hour of CPU time on a relatively modern technical laptop). The data points are not equal intervals, and are...

Well it's not suitable for production, but for debugging you might try pre-pending "cmd /k" to your command to see if it keeps a window open for you to diagnose the issue. As in:

Upon re-reading your reply, I'm not sure I communicated the concept clearly; my intent was that you'd present me with a list of user defined macros, not just "API" calls (which I agree would be very problematic). The good part about this would be that if I build the Macros it would be my f...

Not a huge issue in itself, and I haven't been able to conclusively nail the signature down, but it appears that the symbol frequency setting in preference files may not be getting correctly saved/applied in all cases. From a couple trials I ran I think that whatever curve had it's symbol type/frequ...

Okay, this is a serious nit, but I assume that it's either fairly easy or nearly impossible to do so it won't be hard to evaluate: In file open dialogs, the last used directory is retained on subsequent invocations, but the file view mode (details, sort order) isn't. Legend Placement

Is there a macro command for setting the position of the legend on the plot? If I drag it to a new position it doesn't seem to save with preferences, and I have a set of automated charts where having it in the upper left default position doesn't work very well.

Thanks - R
