PS: found that the issue is related to the size of the points. If I don't adjust the symbol size, no issues. If I adjust the symbol size, large emf/wmf pictures are produced.

New issue: after drawing the points and saving as emf/wmf picture, size of picture becomes very large: without points 60k, with points 16M. Only have 13 points. Exporting to other picture formats works fine. Also, copy/paste to word/excel file size becomes much larger with drawing points.

contour plot with xy locations of data points

I am doing contour plots and wish to add xy locations of my data points on the contour plot. Not too many points so should not mess us the graph. How can I do it?

I still hope multiple overlay can be done. It is very useful for me in some cases. I am not convinced that the endless loop is a prohibitive issue. Is it really hard to identify/avoid? Even though, giving users the choice and caution is a better way to address it. I would rather think this is easy t...

Save as

Why for some plots I can save them as wmf or emf, but for others I can't (there is no wmf or emf option in the drop down menu of save as for these plots)? I don't see differences between my figures.

overlay multiple plots

I have several contour plots with same x,y, and z ranges. Can I overlay three or more of them to make comparison?

Also, how can I save the overlaid picture? When I save the two overlaid plots into a new file, only one of the overlaid plots is retained if I closed all documents and reopen it.

Thanks a lot. That is a clever way. However, if this function can be added in without inserting additional points that will be more convenient.

skip drawing line every other point

I want to draw a line from multiple points, but not link every point, instead, link points (1,2), (3,4), (5,6)... and skip draw line between points (2,3), (4,5)... How can I do that?

Thanks,

xy curves overlay bar chart

Can Dplot xy curves and bar chart in the same panel? Some time I need to show rainfall time series (in bar chart) and corresponding stream flow hydrograph in one plot. The bar chart is plotted on the upper part of the panel with invert y axis. How can I do this?

contour plot beyond limit

Some time when I draw a contour plot (using shaded bands) I set my own limits for Z values instead using the default data range. I don't want dplot to draw anything beyond my range but dplot always fills the region with purple color. How can I solve this problem?

I usually delete the title line for the file name so that I can put the graph in my formal documents. But later on when I look back these graph I can't find what data I used to produce them. So I would appreciate if you can record these information as remarked lines in the grf files.

Excel data source

I use DPlot to do a lot graphing with Excel data. But sometime I can't remember the data source of the graph. Can DPlot add some notes in the grf file to show the data source, including the sheet name and the data range? That will be useful.

Two questions:
1: how to operate grid lines, such as add minor grid line, add only x or y grid lines?
2. can I move the position of x or y axis title?

multi column data

I have one x and multi y columns (x, y1,y2,y3,...), can I specify which y I use to plot the curve rather than remove some curves afterward? Similar question exists for 3D data (x,y, z1, z2, z3,...)。 Will Dplot have the ability to draw multi-panel plot, I mean, e.g., 2X2, 3X3 plots in one frame? Than...

Change z range in 3D plot

David,

How can I change the z range in a 3D surface plot? Sometime I need to change it to filt out part of the plot.

By the way, can Dplot draw the 3D line?

Thanks.
