Pie Charts?
Are there plans to add pie charts? This would be a useful addition to DPlot and the DLL. I'm interested in pie charts with Z-axis values, like this: http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/w/images/f/fa/Chart2_3DPieChartDifferentHeights.jpg http://www.psdgraphics.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/3d_pie_ch...

How do I get non-evenly spaced bar charts to work?
Hi, I have some data as an example: Description, X-Axis Interval, Y-Axis Value Marbles, 1341, 242.39 Dice, 1500, 161.86 Cards, 4000, 109.29 Flour, 4050, 100.12 Cheese, 5061, 69.52 Mice , 6067, 69.34 As you can see the interval is not equal. I am trying to make a Bar chart with the width proportional...

Not sure I follow your question. You can easily plot multiple columns, with 1 or more columns assigned to Y values for different curves with the first column interpreted as X. If that isn't what you have in mind then a bit more information might be helpful. Some examples of the vertial logging I wa...

Request for a new feature: Vertical Logging
Hi there,
The medical, petro and many other industries generate vertical logs containing time or depth based information with multiple columns for each set of variables.
Are there any plans to add this feature?!
Many thanks,
Adrian.

No, sorry. I've been waiting to get a 64-bit system before diving into this. But your post is as good a reason as I can think of to go ahead and buy one :-) You can get pretty cheap ones these days. I saw an x64 Win7 Home prem Laptop going for $249 in Besy Buy the other day (Acer Extensa 5230)!! I ...

Thanks much for the information. I'll definitely come up with a 64-bit version of DPLOTLIB.DLL at the first available opportunity. I *know* I have the tools... somewhere :-) If I don't find the CD soon I'll kick more money at MS and chalk this up as a disorganization penalty. Just about to start wr...

OK thanks for the update on this. I can use the XYYY plugin. Some of the data I want to plot is spread across multiple files sometimes, so it is easier just to copy from different sources and paste into the same DPlot chart when this is needed. I can easily rearrange columns if necessary. Thanks aga...

Copy columns from Excel - copies more columns than I select
Hi,
Great little program but I have an issue that is bugging me!
When I select all data from column 'a' and then select all data from 'd' (so I have highlighted 2 columns) and then copy, in Dplot when I paste I get an XY plot of data from columns a, b, c and d!!
Has anyone else seen this?

After thinking about this some more, I'm not sure if a simple mean(x,y) surface would work. Our points by nature are scattered, getting datapoints at mostly unique locations eg (10.001, 5.345), (10.002, 5.342). In a 2D XY scatter plot we would typically overlay a moving average onto the scatter of p...

For the mean it's no problem: select the Z=f(X,Y) command on the Generate menu and use Z=$MEAN for the equation. That will of course be a featureless surface, just a flat plane. If all you want to do is show the mean value in a title line or note, just use $MEAN and it will be replaced by that valu...

Median / Mean XYZ Surface
Hi, I produce a lot of XYZ surfaces by exporting data from Excel using the plugin. Instead of wrapping a surface over the top of the points, I'm trying to create separate surfaces passing through the mean and the median of the scatter points. Is this possible? Many thanks for your response, Adrian S...
