Versions 2.1.6.8 through 2.1.7.3 of DPlot all have a nasty bug that will cause DPlot to crash after pasting ~50,000 or so points from Excel. This bug was introduced in the change to 2.1.6.8 that examined clipboard data to see if you were copying a curve from DPlot to DPlot, in which case the legend for the new curve would read "Copy of...".
The problem is not strictly limited to Excel data, though that will be the case for the majority of users. If the data source provides link information and provides the data in an HTML table instead of or in addition to ASCII text, you'll also experience this problem.
The bug is fixed in today's 2.1.7.4 update. Update notices with a download link for the licensed version will be sent to the mailing list tonight (June 4). In the meantime licensed users can get the fixed version by using the Check for Updates command on the Help menu.
Anybody who has purchased a DPlot CD with version 2.1.6.8 (May 12) or later will be sent an updated CD immediately. I apologize for any difficulties this problem has caused. _________________ Visualize Your Data
